In the 2006 tax re-evaluation, the average price for a property in Mendham Borough was just about $900,000.

With no "fast food" restaurants to cheapen the main road through town, Mendham enjoys few restaurants or other service establishements, save for a few small establishements in a tiny shopping center. The Black Horse Inn is the notable restaurant.
